Jeremy lives and works in a charming old village house in Ojen which contains a painting studio and gallery. Much of his youth was spent in the English Lake District, where he received some early tuition from the late William Heaton Cooper. Subsequent training was mostly in artists' studios apart from a period of study at the Slade School of Fine Art, London University. Course Inspiration: The starting point can be going for a walk. If I see something interesting, I will make a drawing of it. This can serve as a theme for a painting. The drawing may contain notes on tone and colour. The painting will start to head in a particular direction and if it looks interesting, I follow it. This is very exciting and makes painting an adventure. |
