Tutor info - Course Details, Dates & Prices

Jeremy Lennon

Jeremy lives and works in a charming old village house in Ojen which contains a painting studio and gallery. Much of his youth was spent in the English Lake District, where he received some early tuition from the late William Heaton Cooper. Subsequent training was mostly in artists' studios apart from a period of study at the  Slade School of Fine Art, London University.

At twenty four he moved to the Mediterranean shores. "The light, colour and way of life are a great source of inspiration. To try to interpret one's surroundings in a personal way through paint is very rewarding". He has a very busy and productive working life which includes solo and group exhibitions in Spain and England. He also teaches at home and at Pear Tree Farm in Derbyshire.

Course Inspiration: The starting point can be going for a walk. If I see something interesting, I will make a drawing of it. This can serve as a theme for a painting. The drawing may contain notes on tone and colour. The painting will start to head in a particular direction and if it looks interesting, I follow it. This is very exciting and makes painting an adventure.
