CAROL HILL  ARBSA SWA   SFP

Carol learnt to paint whilst living in the Far East in the 1960’s and it was there that she was able to draw ideas from several different tutors.  She was taught to paint in oils and continued to do so for many years as well as Chinese painting.  This led to experimenting with watercolour and other mediums.  Carol’s subjects are mainly landscape, seascapes, flowers and still life. Carol is a qualified teacher in Adult Education and regularly teaches watercolours and oils.  She also organises workshops, painting days and demonstrations to art groups around the country.

Carol is an Associate Member of the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists.
She is a Member of the Society of Women Artists and a Member of the Society of Floral Painters. Carol is President of the Matlock Artist’s Society.

She exhibits each year at The Mall Galleries, London and Mottsifont Abbey in Hampshire and Little London Gallery, Holloway, Derbyshire.

She has exhibited at the following:

2005 – Exhibited at the Society of Women Artists – Mall Galleries, London
2005  - Exhibited at Mottsifont Abbey, Hampshire with the Society of Floral Painters.
2005/06 – Demonstrated at the four day arts festival at Patchings Art Farm Centre, Notts.
2006 – Exhibited at Mall Galleries with SWA and also a demonstrator for watercolours at the Mall Galleries, London
2006 – Exhibited with SFP at Mottsifont Abbey, Hampshire
2006 – Exhibited at Picturecraft Gallery – Holt – Norfolk  - SWA.” Out of Town Exhibition”
2007 – Elected Associate Member at the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists Exhibition
